Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. seeks a Home Health RN with IV and cardiac care experience for a day-shift role serving Bergen and Passaic counties. You will perform skilled visits in patients' homes, manage IV therapy, and coordinate care using HomeCare HomeBase.

The position requires an active NJ or compact RN license, BLS, and 1+ year of home health experience, with travel across counties and a 5x8 schedule.

Qualifications

• Able to start and maintain IVs.

• Medication administration including IV infusions, IM, subcutaneous, intradermal.
• Admission assessments, recertifications, start/resumption of care.
• Basic Arrhythmia Exam with 80% min score.
• EKG rhythm interpretation and arrhythmia ID.

Responsibilities

• Home health setting covering Bergen and Passaic counties.
• Day shift schedule: 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, 5x8 hours.
• Work 1 weekend out of 6.
• Travelers complete 4-5 patient visits per shift.
• Use HomeCare HomeBase charting system.
• Provide skilled visits: wound care, meds, pain assessment.
• Manage peripheral IVs, central lines, ports as needed.
• Use pain scales for verbal/nonverbal patients.
• Local candidates within 75 miles at local rate.
• Prior facility employees not eligible for this travel assignment.
• First-time travelers not being considered.

American Traveler is hiring a Home Health RN with IV and cardiac care experience for a day-shift position covering Bergen and Passaic counties.

Requirements

• Active NJ or compact RN license required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• Home Health experience required
• HomeCare HomeBase charting system experience required
• Experience with IV therapy and cardiac care required
• Experience with peripheral IVs, central lines, and ports
• Skilled in starting and maintaining IVs
• Proficient in wound care and integumentary assessment
• Experience with medication administration including IV infusions, IM, subcutaneous, and intradermal routes
• Experience with admission assessments, recertifications, and start/resumption of care documentation
• Must pass a Basic Arrhythmia Exam with a minimum score of 80% (no retakes permitted)
• Proficient in EKG rhythm interpretation, heart rate calculations, and identification of arrhythmias and heart blocks

Responsibilities

• Home health setting covering Bergen and Passaic counties
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours (8:00 AM-4:30 PM)
• Required to work 1 out of every 6 weekends
• Travelers complete 4-5 patient visits per 8-hour shift
• Uses HomeCare HomeBase charting system
• Provide skilled home health nursing visits including wound care, medication management, and pain assessment
• Manage peripheral IVs, central lines, and ports as part of patient care
• Utilize pain scales for both verbal and nonverbal patients
• Minimal RTO will be considered, 5 days or less
• Local candidates within 75 miles accepted at the local rate
• Prior permanent employees of the facility are not eligible for this travel assignment
• First-time travelers are not being considered for this position
