Job summary

HealthForce Healthcare seeks an experienced Travel Registered Nurse (RN) - Long Term Care for a site in Dubuque, IA. The role centers on managing chronic conditions and delivering high-quality nursing care in a skilled nursing facility.

You will assess residents, administer medications, manage IV therapy, and coordinate with an interdisciplinary team to create individualized care plans. This travel contract requires an ADN/BSN, an Iowa (or Compact) RN license, and BLS.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited program.
• Active, unencumbered RN license valid in Iowa or Compact/NLC.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Prior LTC/SNF nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive physical assessments and monitor residents for acute changes.
• Administer medications and manage IV therapy per orders.
• Provide routine wound care and pressure ulcer prevention.
• Document care and resident responses in the EHR system.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and social workers to tailor care plans.
• Educate residents and families on disease management and safety.
• Facilitate transitions of care within the facility or to higher-level care.
