Job summary

HealthForce Healthcare is seeking an experienced Travel Registered Nurse (RN) for Long-Term Care, working a Day shift on a contract basis in Dubuque, IA. The role focuses on geriatric care, chronic disease management, and coordination with an interdisciplinary team.

Ideal candidates will hold an ADN or BSN and an active RN license, preferably in IA or a Compact state, with BLS and gerontology credentials a plus. This travel position offers a competitive weekly pay rate and a stable day schedule.

Qualifications

• ADN or BSN from an accredited program.
• Active RN license in IA or Compact/NLC state.
• BLS certification required; CGN or gerontology credential preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and monitor residents for health status changes.
• Administer medications and manage IV therapy per physician orders.
• Perform wound care and skin integrity assessments; implement pressure ulcer prevention.
• Identify acute changes, escalate as needed, update care plans accordingly.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and social workers for interdisciplinary care.
• Document all care, treatments, and resident responses in the EHR.
