Job summary

HealthForce Healthcare is seeking an experienced Travel Registered Nurse (RN) for a 12-hour day shift in Dubuque, IA. The role focuses on long-term care residents, chronic disease management, and coordinating care across disciplines in a fast-paced SNF environment.

Ideal candidates have ADN/BSN, an Iowa RN license (or compact), BLS, and LTC/SNF experience. Travel assignments offer exposure to diverse patient needs and collaborative team-based care.

Qualifications

• ADN or BSN from an accredited program.
• Active RN license in Iowa or an active Compact/NLC RN license.
• BLS certification required.
• CGN or gerontology credential preferred.
• Minimum LTC/SNF nursing experience required.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive physical assessments and monitor residents for acute changes.
• Administer medications and manage IV therapy per physician orders.
• Provide routine wound care and skin integrity management.
• Document care, treatments, and resident responses in the EHR system.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and social workers to create care plans.
• Educate residents and families on disease management and safety planning.
• Facilitate transitions of care within the facility or to higher-level care.
