Job summary

HealthForce Healthcare is seeking a Travel Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Long-Term Care for a contract assignment in Dubuque, IA. You will provide high-quality nursing care to residents in a skilled nursing facility, managing chronic conditions and day-to-day wellness under an interdisciplinary team.

The ideal candidate holds an ADN or BSN, an active RN license (Iowa or a Compact/NLC state), BLS, and prior LTC experience. This travel role offers a day shift and competitive weekly pay.

Qualifications

• ADN or BSN from an accredited program.
• Active RN license (Iowa or Compact/NLC).
• BLS certification required; CGN or gerontology credential preferred.
• Experience in LTC/SNF and geriatric care.
• Proficient with EHR systems and care coordination tools.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and monitor residents for health status changes.
• Administer medications and manage IV therapy per physician orders.
• Perform wound care and skin integrity assessments; prevent ulcers.
• Identify acute changes, escalate as needed and update care plans.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and social workers for interdisciplinary care.
• Document all care, treatments, and resident responses in the EHR.
• Educate residents and families on care plans, safety and condition management.
