Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a 13-week Emergency Department travel assignment in North Carolina. The role requires 2+ years ED experience, an active NC or Compact RN license, and current BLS/ACLS/PALS/NIHSS certifications.

Expect a 26-bed ED in a 294-bed facility with patient populations from geriatric to pediatric, typical 1:4-5 ratios, and modular floating to similar units. Holiday coverage is required; local candidates may be considered at local rates.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (NC or Compact) currently in hand.
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS.
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience required.
• Associate's Degree in Nursing required.

Responsibilities

• Work in a 26-bed Emergency Department within a 294-bed facility.
• Care for geriatric, adult, and pediatric patients.
• Maintain patient ratios of 1:4-5, depending on acuity.
• Address diagnoses including respiratory distress, overdose, CHF, dialysis, hypertension.
• Chart in Meditech; prior experience preferred.
• 13-week assignment with 36 guaranteed weekly hours.
• Every other weekend required; no call responsibilities.
• Floating to like assignments as needed.
• Provide emergency nursing care across all patient populations.
• Be a team player with a positive attitude.
• Scrub color is flexible; holiday coverage required with limited time off.
• Candidates residing 60 miles+ from facility qualify for travel rate; local rate otherwise.
• Cannot have worked as permanent staff at LifePoint facility within last 12 months.
• Cannot be employed elsewhere full-time while on assignment.

• Charting done in Meditech, prior experience preferred
• 13-week assignment with 36 guaranteed weekly hours
• Every other weekend required
• No call requirements
• Floating required to like assignments
• Provide emergency nursing care across all patient populations
• Team player with an engaged, positive attitude valued by the unit
• Scrub color is flexible
• Holiday coverage required, with no time off approved for 11/26, 12/24, or 12/25
• Candidates must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to be considered for the travel rate
• Local candidates within 60 miles may be considered at a local rate
• Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
• Cannot be employed elsewhere full-time while on assignment
