Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department role with 2+ years of ER experience and a background in travel nursing. The position requires an active OK or compact RN license, BLS/ACLS/PALS, NIHSS, and de-escalation training.

Night shifts, block scheduling, and facility-wide floating are expected. You will work in a combined adult/pediatric ED with 1:2-3 patient ratios, providing care for shock, trauma, stroke, STEMI, and cardiac emergencies while maintaining PPE and

  • Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and a de-escalation course.
  • Minimum 2 years of ER experience required.
  • Prior travel nursing experience required.

Responsibilities

  • Combined Adult/Pediatric Emergency Department setting.
  • Patient ratios of 1:2-3.
  • Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 7:00 PM-7:00 AM).
  • Required to work every other weekend.
  • Floating within scope to meet facility needs.
  • Open to block scheduling.
  • Meditech charting experience preferred.
  • Provide emergency care for a wide range of cases including shock/trauma, gunshot wounds, traumatic amputations, head injuries, and cardiac emergencies.
  • Manage and interpret cardiac dysrhythmias and respond to emergency cardiac events.
  • Perform triage and maintain isolation precautions/PPE protocols.
  • Experience with ortho trauma and general orthopedics beneficial.
  • First-time travelers will not be considered for this role.
  • Local candidates are not considered; a 45-mile radius applies for eligibility.
  • No RTO restrictions.

Job description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring 2+ years of ER experience and prior travel experience.


Requirements
