Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department travel assignment in Virginia. Requires VA or compact license and at least one completed travel assignment, with a minimum of 2 years ER experience in an acute hospital setting.

The position includes a night shift schedule, 34-bed ED, and 36 guaranteed hours per week, with weekend/on-call/floating coverage as needed. Travel housing and licensure reimbursements are provided.

Qualifications

• Active RN license required (VA or compact).
• ACLS, BLS, CPI/Handle with Care, NIH, and PALS or ENPC certifications required.
• Minimum 2 years ER experience in an acute hospital.
• At least one completed travel assignment.
• Must be a professional, positive, compassionate team player.

Responsibilities

• Acute-care hospital ED setting with 34 beds.
• Treats chest pain, CHF, COPD, and psychiatric cases.
• Patient ratio 1:5.
• Uses Medhost EMR.
• Night shift 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
• 36 weekly guaranteed hours.
• Weekend coverage as needed, on-call and floating as needed.
• Provides emergency care to patients of all ages.
• Facility accredited Chest Pain Center and Heart Failure care.
• Scrubs of any color accepted; casual attire not permitted.
• Random drug screening and Criminal Questionnaire/Consent Form.
• Residence 60 miles+ from facility to qualify for travel rate.
• Cannot have worked as permanent staff at LifePoint within past 12 months.
• Cannot be employed elsewhere full-time during assignment.

• On-call required as needed
• Floating required as needed
• Provide emergency care to patients of all ages in a full-service acute-care hospital

• Scrubs of any color are acceptable; casual attire is not permitted
• Random drug screening and completion of a Criminal Questionnaire/Consent Form required
• Candidates must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to be considered for the travel rate
• Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the past 12 months
• Cannot be employed elsewhere full-time while on assignment
