Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position in Florida. The role requires 2.5 years of ED experience and Level 1 resuscitation expertise.

Active FL RN license and certifications (ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS; TNCC/SANE preferred) are mandatory, with Meditech experience preferred. The assignment runs 24 weeks with night shifts (7:00 PM–7:00 AM) in a 210-bed acute care facility.

Qualifications

Active FL or Compact RN license required.
ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS (TNCC and SANE preferred).
Minimum 2.5 years of ED experience required.
Minimum 1 year of neuro/stroke experience required.
2 travel assignments required for experienced travelers, or 3+ years if first-time traveler.
Level 1 resuscitation patient experience required.
Meditech charting experience preferred.
Teaching hospital, trauma Level II experience preferred.
Psychiatric care, IV therapy, respiratory management, cardiac monitoring, and orthopedic care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

ED setting in an acute care hospital with 210 staffed beds.
Night shift schedule: 3x12 hours (7:00 PM–7:00 AM).
24-week assignment.
Patient ratio 1:6.
Every other weekend required.
Floating within scope.
Care for trauma, cardiac events, respiratory distress, neurological emergencies, and psychiatric conditions.

Maximum of 10 days RTO permitted, subject to manager approval, and no additional RTO requests accepted after offer
Schedules may be adjusted with 48 hours notice; declined changes do not qualify for guaranteed hours
More than 3 call-outs during the assignment may result in early termination
Scrubs of any color accepted; no tee shirts, sweatshirts, or logos from other organizations permitted
Candidates must reside more than 30 miles from the facility
Free parking available in any unrestricted space
First-time travelers considered only with 3+ years of experience
