Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department role at a Level III Trauma facility in Georgia. The position requires a minimum of 3 years of ED experience and prior travel nursing experience.

The nurse will work 3x12 hour day shifts (7:00–19:00) in a 24-bed ED, with some weekends and holiday coverage. Candidates must hold an active RN license in GA or a compact state and current certifications (ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC).

Qualifications

  • Active RN license GA or Compact required.
  • Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC.
  • Minimum 3 years Emergency Department experience required.
  • Previous travel nursing experience required.
  • Ventilator care, IV starts, triage, telemetry, and conscious sedation administration/monitoring.
  • Cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation/management.
  • Driver's license copy to verify residence for pay rate determination.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care in a high-acuity ED environment.
  • Work in a 24-bed ED unit in Level III Trauma center setting.
  • 13-week assignment with potential extension.
  • Day shifts 3x12 hours (7:00–19:00).
  • Some weekend shifts and holiday coverage required.
  • Use PICIS and Soarian EMR systems.
  • Perform triage, ventilator management, IV starts, telemetry monitoring, and procedural sedation administration.
  • Interpret and manage cardiac dysrhythmias as part of emergency response.
  • Minimal to no RTO accepted, especially around holidays.

Job description

  • Skilled in cardiac monitoring and interpretation/management of dysrhythmias
  • Royal blue scrubs required (not provided)
  • Driver's license copy required to verify residence for pay rate determination
Responsibilities
  • Work in a 24-bed Emergency Department unit with a 4-recliner flex area
  • Level III Trauma center setting
  • 13-week assignment with possibility of extension
  • Day shift schedule, 3x12 hour shifts from 7:00 to 19:00
  • Some weekend shifts required
  • Holiday coverage required
  • Uses PICIS and Soarian Clinicals EMR systems
