Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for an Emergency Department position in California, requiring EPIC experience and a minimum of three years in the ER. The candidate must hold an active CA RN license and current BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications, with TEAM/ CPI certifications and NIH Stroke Scale preferred.

Responsibilities

• Emergency Department setting in an acute care hospital
• Night shift schedule, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with 36 or 48 hour weekly options
• Uses EPIC EMR system
• Deliver coordinated nursing care for assigned patients following established standards of care and the nursing process
• Supervise and direct nursing staff while coordinating care across disciplines
• Collect and analyze patient assessment data to determine diagnosis and care needs
• Develop and implement care plans, coordinate care delivery, and evaluate patient outcomes
• Collaborate with patients, families, and the healthcare team to provide safe and compassionate care
• Participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care
• Vaccinations required as a condition of employment per organizational policy
• Requests for more than 5 days of RTO will not be approved
• Accepts local candidates at the same rate as travel positions
