Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for an Emergency Department role in Minnesota. Requires MN RN licensure and 2+ years of ER experience, with ED volume around 28,000 visits annually and level III+ trauma exposure preferred.

Responsibilities include 12-hour rotating shifts, no on-call, and duties across a 15-bed ED with triage and fast-track rooms. Proficiency in EPIC and Accudose is expected; orientation includes system training.

Qualifications

• Active MN state RN license required at time of consideration.
• Minimum 2 years of recent ER experience required.
• Experience in an ED with annual visits around 28,000 or higher preferred.
• Trauma level III or higher experience preferred.
• Current certifications required: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), PALS (AHA), and TNCC.

Responsibilities

• Level III trauma Emergency Department with 15 beds, 4 fast track rooms, and 1 triage area.
• Nurse to patient ratio of 1:3 to 1:4.
• 12-hour shifts, rotating days, evenings, and nights.
• Every other to every third weekend required.
• Floating to Medical-Surgical units as needed.
• No on-call requirement and never works alone.
• Uses EPIC and Accudose charting/dispensing systems.
• Responsible for implementing the full nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, care planning, intervention, evaluation, and documentation.
• EPIC and Accudose training provided during orientation.
• Navy blue scrubs required.
• All clinicians must badge in and out at the facility.
• Accepts local candidates within an 80-mile radius at an adjusted rate.
• Candidates with prior Sanford Health employment must disclose this and must have an end date at least 6 months prior to submission.
