American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a combined Adult/Pediatric Emergency Department role in Minnesota. Requires 2 years ER and 1 year Medical-Surgical experience with an active or pending MN RN license.

Qualifications

> MN RN license required (active or pending).
> BLS, ACLS, TNCC certifications required.
> 2 years Emergency Department experience and 1 year Medical-Surgical experience required.
> OB experience preferred.
> Epic charting experience preferred.
> Community hospital experience preferred.
> Previous charge experience preferred.
> Dysrhythmia interpretation and cardiac monitoring required.
> Triage skills preferred.

Responsibilities

> Critical access hospital with 89 staffed beds.
> Combined Adult/Pediatric General Emergency Department.
> Day shift 0700-1930 and Night shift 1900-0730, 3x12-hour shifts with flexible scheduling.
> Patient ratios 1:4 days / 1:6 nights.
> Every third weekend required; no on-call responsibilities.
> Floating within scope to meet facility needs.
> Uses Epic charting system.
> Provide emergency care to adult and pediatric patients.
> Perform cardiac monitoring and emergency response interventions.

Job description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a combined Adult/Pediatric Emergency Department role requiring 2 years of ER and 1 year of MS experience with an active or pending MN RN license.

Requirements

Active or pending Minnesota RN license required (Minnesota is not a Compact state)
BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience and 1 year of Medical-Surgical experience required
OB experience preferred
Epic charting experience preferred
Community hospital experience preferred
Previous charge experience preferred
Skilled in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
Cardiac monitoring and emergency response experience required
Triage skills preferred

Responsibilities

Provide emergency care to a combined adult and pediatric patient population
Perform cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, and emergency response interventions
Black scrubs required for RNs
Free parking available in the main lot
Holiday coverage required as needed by the facility
Must complete required lab work and Livescan fingerprinting within 48 hours of contract signing
Fingerprinting must be completed in person in Minnesota on the Monday prior to the scheduled start date
Maximum of 7 days RTO permitted, with no time off allowed during the first 2 weeks of the assignment
Former permanent staff must be separated from the facility for at least 9 months before returning as a traveler
