Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position in Jamestown, ND. Active ND state or compact RN license and at least 1 year of ER experience are required.

Candidates must hold BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications, and have completed an accredited RN nursing program. BSN is not required, and flu shot is required. Shifts are 12 hours with rotating days/nights.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year ER experience required
• Cardiac knowledge preferred
• Accredited RN nursing education program completion required
• BSN not required
• Flu shot required
• Last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration

Responsibilities

• Acute care ED setting with 11 beds
• Nurse-to-patient ratios vary based on ED volume
• Uses EPIC EMR with ASAP module and Omnicell system
• 12-hour day/night rotating shifts
• Every third weekend required
• No floating to other units
• Will not work alone during shifts
• Coordinate total nursing care using the nursing process
• Provide patient and family teaching and education
• Collaborate with ancillary nursing staff and interdisciplinary care team
• Orientation provided including EPIC ASAP training
• 8 hours of non-billable orientation required
• Black scrubs required for dress code
• Will accept local candidates
• Disclose previous employment at this facility or health system for review
• Required training modules must be completed before starting
