Job summary

American Traveler, LLC is seeking an experienced CVICU RN for a Magnet-designated Level I Trauma teaching hospital in Wisconsin. The assignment requires NextStage CVVH, Epic EMR, and an active WI or compact RN license. Shifts are 4x12 with day/night options, every other weekend and some holidays.

Travel-friendly housing and licensure support are provided. Candidates must have 2+ years of acute CVICU experience, strong line management and vasoactive titration skills, and pass a telemetry

Qualifications

• Active WI or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of acute care CVICU experience within the last 3 years
• Experience and knowledge of NextStage CVVH machine required
• Epic EMR experience required, preferably within the past 12 months
• Cardiothoracic Surgery and/or Acuity Adaptable unit experience preferred
• Skills include IV therapy, arterial/central/PICC line management, blood product administration, ventilator management, ABG interpretation
• Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and titration of cardiac/vasoactive drips
• Must pass a telemetry competency exam with strict passing criteria prior to starting

Responsibilities

• Work in the CVICU of a Level I Trauma teaching hospital
• Patient ratio of 1:2-3
• Day/Night 12-hour shifts, 0700-1930 or 1900-0730, with every other weekend and some holidays
• 4x12 scheduling or blocked weekends available based on traveler preference
• No on-call requirements
• Floating required as needed
• Uses Epic charting system
• Provide critical care nursing to post-cardiac surgery and cardiovascular intervention patients
• Manage complex cardiac devices and procedures including IABP, Impella, TAVR, and LVAD/RVAD as applicable
• Care for patients with multisystem organ dysfunction, renal failure, and CRRT/CVVHD needs
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates not accepted
• Parking permit required if parking onsite, with alternative transportation options available
• First-time travelers may be considered if minimum experience requirements are met
