Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an RN for Cardiovascular ICU in a hospital setting in South Carolina. Requires 2 years CVICU experience and active ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications. Travel nurses eligible; must have SC or compact license and EPIC EMR experience.

Day shift 7:00 AM–7:30 PM, 3x12s, 1:2 patient ratio, every other weekend, floating to units of demonstrated competency. Pre-assignment testing and 48-hour training. Travelers must be >100 miles from Prisma Health facilities.

Qualifications

• Active SC or compact RN license required.
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS.
• Associate degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) of a hospital setting.
• Day shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM.
• Patient ratio of 1:2.
• Weekend coverage required every other weekend.
• Floating required to other units or campuses as needed, limited to units of demonstrated competency.
• EPIC EMR experience of at least 1 year required.
• Provide direct patient care to critically ill cardiovascular ICU patients.
• Administer and titrate cardiac and vasoactive medications as needed.
• Monitor and manage patients with hemodynamic instability and post-cardiac surgery needs.
• Travelers must be located more than 100 miles from every Prisma Health facility to be eligible.

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Cardiovascular ICU position requiring 2 years of CVICU experience and active ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications.

Requirements

• Active SC or compact RN license required
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
• Associate degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred
• Minimum 2 years of CVICU experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• 1+ years of recent experience in the unit will be considered
• Minimum 1 year of experience with EPIC EMR required
• Skilled in IV therapy, arterial line management, blood product administration, central and PICC line care
• Experience with ventilator management, ABG interpretation, and respiratory failure care
• Experience with post cardiac surgery care, IABP, CVP monitoring, and cardiac drip titration
• Experience with CRRT/CVVHD and acute/chronic renal failure managementExperience with dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Experience obtaining 12-lead EKG/ECG and cardiac monitoring
• Knowledge of infection prevention and isolation precautions/PPE

Responsibilities

• Travelers must be located more than 100 miles from every Prisma Health facility to be eligible, with select exceptions for certain specialties
