Job summary

AdaptHealth is seeking a Respiratory Therapist – Ventilator Support to deliver specialized care to ventilator-dependent patients in home and alternate care settings. You will combine hands-on clinical work with patient education and collaboration with physicians to achieve safe, high-quality outcomes outside the hospital.

The role requires an Associates degree in respiratory therapy, California licensure, and demonstrated ventilator management skills.

Qualifications

• Associates degree from AMA-approved respiratory program.
• One (1) year of clinical experience with ventilator exposure.
• Valid and unrestricted Respiratory Therapist license in all states serviced by the branch.
• CPR certification and driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and apply advanced knowledge of respiratory equipment and ventilators.
• Perform assessments, review patient records, and communicate findings to physicians.
• Participate in discharge planning for ventilator-dependent patients.
• Demonstrate device use to patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals.
• Provide follow-up with physicians and referral sources on patient status.
• Document all care activities accurately in patient records.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and HIPAA adherence in all tasks.
