AdaptHealth is seeking a Respiratory Therapist – Ventilator Support to deliver specialized respiratory care to ventilator-dependent patients in home and alternate care settings. This role blends hands-on patient care, education, and collaboration with physicians and care teams to ensure safe, high-quality outcomes outside the hospital.

Responsibilities include assessments, ventilator management, discharge planning, and teaching patients and families.

Qualifications

• Associates degree from AMA-approved respiratory program.
• 1 year of clinical experience with ventilator exposure.
• Valid Respiratory Therapist license in service states.
• CPR certification.
• Valid and unrestricted driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and apply advanced knowledge of respiratory equipment, ventilators, HME products, and guidelines.
• Perform assessments, review patient records, communicate findings to physicians.
• Support discharge planning for ventilator-dependent patients.
• Instruct patients and caregivers on ventilator use and supplies.
• Document care activities and outcomes in company systems.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, PPE, and infection control policies.
