Job summary

Ghirardelli Chocolate Company's San Francisco store is seeking a Supervisor to lead daily operations, maintain safety and service standards, and drive profitability while delivering exceptional guest experiences. You will work closely with the general manager and cross-functional teams, ensuring smooth store performance across all functions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• One or more years of related experience in a fast-paced restaurant or retail environment, with at least six months in a supervisory role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the well-being of store and its employees through effective safety and risk management.
• Communicate with all levels of the organization following company standards of team-building and professionalism.
• Collaborate with store personnel, general manager, store and division management teams, and corporate liaisons (HR, IT, finance, payroll).
• Prioritize daily store activities under the direction of the general manager.
• Manage operations of total sales floor or units (cash/wrap, retail, or fountain areas) and optimize resources.
• Serve as a principal contact with Corporate employees and outside vendors when management is absent.
• Uphold exemplary customer service by modeling behavior and leadership.
• Monitor sales and labor cost in real time to maximize profitability without sacrificing service.
• Respond promptly to escalated customer service issues.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, food safety, and branding, including allergen communications.
• Properly use KDS system and its functionality.

Education
