Applegreen in New Jersey seeks a Shift Supervisor to lead on-shift teams, ensure top‑notch customer service, and enforce brand standards and food safety. You will train new hires and monitor cash handling compliance while delivering efficient operations across the plaza.

The role requires standing for long periods, flexible scheduling including nights and weekends, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced travel plaza environment. Comprehensive benefits accompany the position.

Qualifications

• Cash handling and customer service experience required.
• Shift supervisor or leadership experience preferred.
• Demonstrates the ability to interact with the public and coworkers in a friendly, enthusiastic, and outgoing manner.

Responsibilities

• Lead the activities of team members on shift.
• Consistently provide friendly customer service by engaging in positive interactions and resolving complaints.
• Complete opening, daily and closing procedures/checklists per policy.
• Operate POS system, process payments, and follow cash handling policies.
• Ensure proper food handling, labeling, dating, stocking, storing, rotating and temperature checks.
• Perform kitchen tasks including prepping, thawing, cooking, packaging and cleaning.
• Stock, clean and sanitize workstation and equipment.
• Cross-sell and up-sell products.
• Maintain product knowledge across plaza offerings.
• Assist in training new team members.
• Follow brand standards, food safety rules, and company policies.
• Inform plaza leadership of observations or problems.
• Execute a variety of other tasks as assigned.
