Job summary

Applegreen USA Welcome Centers Central Services in New Jersey is seeking a Shift Supervisor to lead on-shift teams, ensure outstanding customer service, follow brand and food safety standards, and support training of new hires.

You will manage cash handling, operate the POS, and handle opening/closing duties, while maintaining product freshness and equipment cleanliness; flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Cash handling and customer service experience required.
• Shift supervisor or leadership experience preferred.
• Ability to interact with the public and coworkers in a friendly, enthusiastic manner.

Responsibilities

• Lead the activities of team members on shift.
• Consistently provide friendly customer service and resolve customer complaints.
• Complete opening, daily and closing procedures in accordance with company policies.
• Operate POS system, process and receive payments following cash handling policies.
• Ensure proper food handling, wrapping, labeling, dating, stocking, storing and temperature checks.
• Perform kitchen-related tasks including prepping, cooking, packaging, and cleaning.
• Stock, clean and sanitize workstation and equipment.
• Cross-sell and up-sell products.
• Maintain knowledge of plaza products and services.
• Assist in training new team members.
• Follow brand standards, food safety requirements, and company policies.
• Report observations or problems to plaza leadership.
• Execute other tasks as assigned.
