Job summary

Applegreen USA Welcome Centers Central Services in New Jersey is seeking a Shift Supervisor to lead on-shift operations, ensure exceptional customer service, and enforce brand standards and food-safety requirements. You will train new team members, monitor cash handling, and perform opening, daily, and closing procedures while maintaining product knowledge and cross-selling opportunities.

This role requires flexibility for days, nights, weekends, and holidays, with opportunities for advancement

Qualifications

• Cash handling and customer service experience required.
• Shift supervisor or leadership experience preferred.
• Demonstrates the ability to interact with the public and coworkers in a friendly, enthusiastic, and outgoing manner.

Responsibilities

• Lead the activities of team members on shift.
• Consistently provide friendly customer service by engaging in positive, helpful interactions with customers and resolving complaints.
• Complete opening, daily and closing procedures/checklists in accordance with company policies/procedures.
• Operate point-of-sale (POS) system, accurately process and receive payment from customers, and follow all customer service and cash handling policies and procedures.
• Ensure proper food handling procedures are followed including wrapping, labelling, dating, stocking, storing, rotating, and checking temperature of products.
• Complete with a variety of kitchen‑related tasks including prepping, thawing, cooking, packaging, wrapping, and cleaning.
• Stock, clean, and sanitize workstation and equipment.
• Actively cross‑sell and up‑sell products.
• Maintain a solid knowledge of products and services available in the plaza.
• Assist in the training of new team members.
• Follow required brand standards, food safety requirements, as well as all company policies and procedures.
• Inform plaza leadership of any observations, concerns, or problems that are witnessed or experienced.
• Execute a variety of other tasks as assigned.
