Job summary

Applegreen USA Welcome Centers is seeking a Shift Supervisor to lead store shifts, ensure exceptional customer service, and uphold brand standards and food safety. You will train new team members and monitor cash handling compliance.

The role requires standing for long periods, flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays, and a friendly, proactive approach to customers and coworkers.

Qualifications

• Cash handling and customer service experience required.
• Shift supervisor or leadership experience preferred.
• Demonstrates the ability to interact with the public and coworkers in a friendly, enthusiastic, and outgoing manner.

Responsibilities

• Lead the activities of team members on shift.
• Provide friendly customer service and resolve customer complaints.
• Complete opening, daily and closing procedures/checklists in accordance with company policies/procedures.
• Operate POS system, accurately process and receive payment from customers, and follow all customer service and cash handling policies and procedures.
• Ensure proper food handling procedures are followed including wrapping, labelling, dating, stocking, storing, rotating, and checking temperature of products.
• Complete with a variety of kitchen-related tasks including prepping, thawing, cooking, packaging, wrapping, and cleaning.
• Stock, clean, and sanitize workstation and equipment.
• Actively cross-sell and up-sell products.
• Maintain a solid knowledge of products and services available in the plaza.
• Assist in the training of new team members.
• Follow required brand standards, food safety requirements, as well as all company policies and procedures.
• Inform plaza leadership of any observations, concerns, or problems that are witnessed or experienced.
• Execute a variety of other tasks as assigned.
