Job summary

Applegreen USA Welcome Centers Central Services is seeking a Shift Supervisor to lead on‑shift teams and ensure top‑notch customer service across our travel plazas. You will monitor cash handling, train new team members, and uphold brand standards and food safety requirements in a fast‑paced environment.

Responsibilities include opening/closing procedures, POS operation, and thorough product knowledge to assist customers while cross‑selling.

Qualifications

• Cash handling and customer service experience required.
• Shift supervisor or leadership experience preferred.
• Demonstrates the ability to interact with the public and coworkers in a friendly, enthusiastic, and outgoing manner.

Responsibilities

• Lead the activities of team members on shift.
• Consistently provide friendly customer service by engaging in positive, helpful interactions with customers and resolve complaints.
• Complete opening, daily and closing procedures/checklists per policies.
• Operate POS system, process payments, and follow cash handling policies.
• Ensure proper food handling procedures are followed including labeling, dating, stocking, and temperature checks.
• Perform kitchen tasks such as prepping, cooking, packaging, wrapping, and cleaning.
• Stock, clean, and sanitize workstation and equipment.
• Actively cross-sell and up-sell products.
• Maintain knowledge of products and services; assist in training new team members.
• Follow brand standards, food safety requirements, and company policies.
• Inform plaza leadership of observations or problems; perform other tasks as assigned.
