American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for a Long Term Acute Care assignment in Oklahoma. The role requires 1+ year PT experience, with LTC or rehab setting background. The assignment runs for 13 weeks with day shifts, no weekends and no on-call requirements.

OK state license is required if applicable; compact license not accepted. This position involves supervising PTAs, rehab aides, and students, and requires adherence to APTA standards and regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of PT experience required.
• New grads considered if Level II clinical experience was completed (Level I observation experience not accepted)
• LTC or Rehab setting experience required
• OK state license required if applicable
• Compact license not accepted

Responsibilities

• Screens, evaluates, and rehabilitates patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care needs.
• Develops individualized plans of care following regulatory and clinical practice standards.
• Utilizes standardized assessments and evidence-based practice to guide interventions.
• Administers treatments including manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and wound care.
• Assesses patient progress and adjusts treatment plans accordingly.
• Provides consultation and counseling to patients, families, and caregivers.
• Communicates with supervisors and healthcare team regarding patient progress and treatment plans.
• Completes comprehensive discharge summaries and maintains documentation per regulatory requirements.
• Participates in required meetings including patient care conferences and utilization review.
• Able to supervise physical therapist assistants, rehab aides, and students.
• Adheres to APTA standards and state practice acts and code of conduct.
• Up to 5 days of requested time off (RTO) may be accommodated
