Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant for a 13-week Long Term Care assignment in Massachusetts. An active PTA license and 1+ year LTC or rehab experience are required.

The position offers 8-hour day shifts with no weekend or on-call requirements. You will work under a supervising PT, document progress, and participate in care conferences while receiving housing and travel reimbursements as part of the benefits package.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Long Term Care (LTC) setting within a Physical Therapy unit
• 13-week assignment with 8-hour day shifts
• No weekend requirements
• No on-call requirements
• Provide rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment interventions under the supervision of a Physical Therapist
• Administer manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and use of supportive and assistive devices
• Assess patient progress and communicate with supervising PT to adjust treatment plans accordingly
• Document treatment and patient progress in the electronic documentation system per regulatory requirements
• Participate in patient care conferences, utilization review meetings, and rehabilitation meetings
• Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, and caregivers regarding physical disorders
• Assist supervising PT in obtaining necessary DME or supplies
• May supervise and support students under PT guidance
• Adhere to APTA and state practice acts, code of conduct, and ethics standards
• No more than 7 days of RTO can be requested
