American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant for a Long Term Care position. The role requires 1+ years of PTA experience and LTC or Rehab setting experience.

Responsibilities

• Long Term Care/Skilled Nursing Facility setting within the Physical Therapy department
• Day shift, 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday
• Start time flexible between 6AM and 10AM as long as consistent and communicated with the Director of Rehab
• No weekend requirements
• No on-call requirements
• 13-week assignment
• Provide rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment to patients with physical functioning disorders under PT supervision
• Administer manual techniques, ambulation training, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and use of supportive or assistive devices
• Assess patient progress and communicate with supervising PT to adjust treatments
• Document all regulatory and clinical information in the electronic documentation system
• Participate in patient care conferences, utilization review meetings, and rehabilitation meetings
• Participate in facility and company required trainings and in-services
• Support supervising PT in obtaining necessary DME or supplies
• May supervise and support students under PT guidance
• Adhere to APTA and state practice acts, code of conduct, and ethics
• No more than 7 days of RTO may be requested
