American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for a skilled nursing facility/rehab setting requiring 1+ year of PT experience and LTC or rehab experience.

Requirements

• MO state license required (compact license accepted)


• Minimum 1 year of PT experience required


• LTC or rehab setting experience required


• New grads considered if they completed a Level II clinical rotation (not Level I observation only)


• 1 professional reference required for consideration


• License required if applicable

Responsibilities

• Setting: Skilled nursing facility/long-term care rehab unit


• Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8-hour day shifts


• Flexible start times between 6AM and 10AM, as long as consistent and communicated with the Director of Rehab


• No weekend or on-call requirements


• Responsibilities include screening, evaluating, and treating patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care needs


• Develops individualized plans of care using standardized assessments and evidence-based practice


• Administers treatments including manual techniques, therapeutic exercises, ambulation training, modalities, and use of assistive devices


• Documents all services in the electronic record system per regulatory and clinical standards


• Participates in patient care conferences, utilization review meetings, and other facility-required meetings


• May supervise physical therapist assistants, rehab aides, and/or students


• Adheres to APTA standards and state practice acts, code of conduct, and ethics


• Up to 7 days of RTO may be requested


• Open to first-time travelers with qualifying clinical experience
