American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for a Rehab position in Missouri. The role requires 1+ year of PT experience with LTC or skilled nursing rehab background. New grads may qualify if they have Level II clinical experience, with Level I observation not sufficient.

A valid MO PT license is required if applicable and references are necessary. The position involves a rehab unit in a long-term care setting, caseloads of 7–12 patients daily, and standard Medicare/managed care treatment

Responsibilities

• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8-hour days with flexible start between 6AM–10AM; no weekend shifts unless a holiday makes up hours.
• No on-call required; compact license accepted.
• Screen, evaluate, and rehabilitate patients with functional disorders and wound care needs.
• Develop and adjust plans of care using standardized assessments and evidence-based practice.

Job description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for a Rehab position requiring 1+ year of PT experience and LTC or SNF background, with new grads considered if they completed a Level II clinical experience.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of PT experience required
• LTC or Rehab setting experience required
• MO state PT license required if applicable
• New graduates accepted provided they completed a Level II clinical experience (Level I observation experience alone does not qualify)
• One professional reference required for consideration
• Active license and certifications required at time of consideration

Responsibilities

• Setting is a long-term care/skilled nursing facility rehab unit
• Patient caseload ranges from 7-12 patients per day depending on case mix and evaluation duties
• Typical treatment times are approximately 1 hour for Medicare B patients and 30-35 minutes for Medicare A and managed care patients
• Group therapy sessions are utilized at the facility
• Each therapist typically has a dedicated device for documentation
• Schedule is Monday-Friday, 8-hour day shifts with flexible start times between 6AM and 10AM, as long as consistent and communicated with the Director of Rehab
• No weekend shifts required unless a holiday falls on a weekday, in which case hours may be made up on the weekend
• No on-call requirements
• Compact license accepted
• Responsibilities include screening, evaluating, and rehabilitating patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care needs
• Develop and adjust plans of care using standardized assessments and evidence-based practice
• Administer treatments including manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and use of supportive/assistive devices
• Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, and caregivers
• Communicate regularly with supervisors and healthcare team regarding patient progress and treatment plans
• Complete discharge summaries and maintain accurate electronic documentation per regulatory requirements
• Participate in required meetings including patient care conferences, utilization review, and rehabilitation meetings
• Attend facility and company trainings, in-services, and conferences as required
• Supervise and support physical therapist assistants, rehabilitation aides, and/or students
• Adhere to APTA and state practice standards, code of conduct, and ethics
• Maximum of 7 days RTO may be requested
• First-time travelers may be considered if they meet the Level II clinical experience requirement
