American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant for a Long Term Care skilled nursing facility, requiring 1+ year PTA experience and LTC/Rehab setting exposure. The role involves contributing to rehabilitative treatments under PT supervision and maintaining accurate documentation.

Day shift, 8 hours, Monday through Friday with flexible start between 6 AM and 10 AM. No weekend work unless holiday; no on-call.

Qualifications

• Active PTA license required if applicable
• Minimum 1 year of PTA experience required
• LTC or Rehab setting experience required
• 1 reference required for consideration

Responsabilités

• Long Term Care (LTC) skilled nursing facility setting within the Physical Therapy unit
• Caseload typically 7-12 patients per day depending on evaluations
• Group therapy is utilized to support productivity
• Each therapist is provided a dedicated device for documentation
• Day shift, 8-hour schedule, Monday through Friday
• Flexible start time between 6AM and 10AM, as long as consistent and communicated with the Director of Rehab
• No weekend work required unless a holiday falls during the week
• No on-call requirements
• Provide rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment under PT supervision
• Administer rehabilitation procedures including manual techniques, ambulation, exercises, modalities, and devices
• Assess patient progress and communicate with supervising PT to adjust treatment plans
• Document all treatment information in the electronic system per regulatory requirements
• Participate in patient care conferences and rehabilitation meetings
• Assist supervising PT with obtaining DME or supplies
• May supervise PTA students under PT guidance
• Adhere to APTA standards and state practice acts
• No more than 7 days of requested RTO permitted

• Administer rehabilitation procedures including manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and assistive devices
• Assess patient progress and communicate with supervising PT to adjust treatment plans
• Document all treatment information and session minutes in the electronic documentation system per regulatory requirements
• Participate in patient care conferences, utilization review meetings, and rehabilitation meetings
• Participate in required facility and company trainings and in-services
• Assist supervising PT with obtaining necessary DME or supplies
• May supervise and support PTA students under PT guidance
• Adhere to APTA standards and state practice acts, codes of conduct, and ethics
• No more than 7 days of requested RTO permitted
