Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an Inpatient Rehabilitation Physical Therapist with 1+ year of experience and Epic charting skills for a rehabilitation hospital setting.

Position requires Wisconsin PT licensure (or active pending) and BLS, with a Monday–Friday day shift and two weekend shifts. First-time travelers accepted; generous housing and travel reimbursements are provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of physical therapy experience required.
• BLS certification required.
• WI state PT license required (license required if applicable); pending license accepted.
• Experience with evaluations, plan of care, and home exercise programs required.
• Must be clean-shaven to achieve proper mask seal for respirator fit testing.
• Two professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required.

Responsibilities

• Rehabilitation hospital inpatient setting.
• 5x8 Monday-Friday day shift, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM.
• Two weekend shifts required with flexibility to choose weekends and comp days.
• No call required.
• Patient population includes orthopedic, neurologic, cardiopulmonary, and geriatric cases.
• Treats hip/knee replacements, post-op spine/shoulder, stroke, COPD/CHF.
• Uses adaptive devices, assistive equipment, and modalities such as E-stim and TENS.
• Epic EMR experience preferred.
• Responsibilities include evaluations, treatment planning, and patient/family education.
• Facility closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Day.
• First-time travelers accepted.
• 70-mile radius rule applies; local candidates not accepted.
• Clinicians cannot work past 1 year as a traveler without taking a 6-month break before returning.
• CAPRs and PAPRs are not provided; personal devices are not permitted; no exemptions for fit testing.
