The position involves working a Monday–Friday 8-hour shift (7:00 AM–5:00 PM) with rotating weekends and potential float to acute care as needed. A Joint Commission Stroke Certification environment supports advanced rehab care.

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of hospital setting experience required
Inpatient rehab experience preferred
Experience with stroke evaluation and treatment preferred
Skilled in manual therapy for neuro re-education, therapeutic exercise, functional activity, neuromuscular re-education, self-care training, and functional e-stim
License required if applicable
US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
No employment gaps of 90+ days within the past 12 months

Responsibilities

Inpatient Rehab Therapy unit with 44 beds and a 4:1 patient ratio
Unit staffed by 10 OT/PT teams, 3 speech therapists, and 1 tech
Equipment used includes Sara Lifts, ceiling lifts, Bioness, and Diego
Documentation performed in Meditech Expanse
Monday-Friday schedule with 8-hour shifts between 7:00 AM-5:00 PM, with rotating weekends
May float to acute hospital if rehab census is low
Unit holds Joint Commission Stroke Certification
Uses AIDET communication framework and emphasizes immediate service recovery for patient experience
Dress code preference of black scrub bottoms and royal blue top
Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates accepted
