Qualifications

• Continuing education courses preferred
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and assist with patient transfers/mo bility
• Able to stand, walk and sit for 8-10 hour shifts
• Proficient with Word, Internet, and EMR systems

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient physical therapy and rehab in an outpatient clinic setting
• Work day shift: 8 hours per day, 5 days per week
• Use EMR for evaluations, reports and discharge summaries
• Evaluate and treat patients with PT and rehab programs
• Guide and monitor patient care throughout treatment and follow-up
• Supervise PT assistants and aides on patient care
• Communicate with physicians and staff to ensure quality care
• Maintain accurate patient charts, prescriptions, test results, authorizations
• Coordinate with front office for scheduling and follow-up
• Make independent care decisions; familiar with PT billing policies (Medicare, workers' comp, etc.)
• Codify DX and ICD-10 for billing
• Comply with HIPAA/OSHA policies
• Open to first-time travelers

• Utilizes Electronic Medical Record system for evaluations, reports, and discharge summaries

• Communicate with physicians and staff to ensure quality patient care
• Maintain accurate patient chart documentation including prescriptions, test results, and authorizations
• Work closely with front office staff on scheduling and patient follow-up
• Make independent decisions regarding patient care
• Be familiar with PT billing policies including Medicare, workers' comp, private, auto, liens, and cash pay
• Proficient in DX and ICD-10 coding for billing purposes
