Job summary

TotalMed Allied seeks a Travel Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) for a 13-week assignment in Bethesda, MD. Travel role requires 1 year of OTA experience, BLS and NBCOT (COTA) certification, and state licensure.

Tasks include delivering therapeutic activities, assisting with exercises, documenting progress, and educating patients to improve daily living skills. Join a collaborative interdisciplinary team in a fast-paced setting; travel stipend and weekly pay are offered, with focus on safety

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA)
• Current BLS and NBCOT (COTA) certification required
• State-specific licensure required
• Strong communication and patient-care skills

Responsibilities

• Deliver therapeutic activities and interventions as directed by the supervising OT.
• Monitor patient progress and report observations to the OT.
• Document patient performance and progress per guidelines.
• Assist patients with exercises, mobility training, and ADLs.
• Educate patients and families on techniques to improve independence.
• Maintain treatment areas and equipment cleanliness.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team for coordinated care.
• Comply with licensing rules and facility standards.
