Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) for an immediate travel assignment in Hayward, CA. The 13-week engagement offers 35 hours per week, dayshift under OT supervision, and requires 1 year of OTA experience.

The OTA will deliver activities, monitor progress, document outcomes, assist with exercises and mobility, educate patients and families, and ensure compliance with licensure and facility rules. NBCOT/COTA and BLS are required.

Qualifications

• 1 year of OTA experience required.
• Current BLS and NBCOT/COTA certification required.
• State licensure required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver therapeutic activities and interventions under the supervising OT.
• Monitor patient progress and report observations to the OT.
• Document patient performance and progress accurately and timely per guidelines.
• Assist patients with exercises, mobility training, and use of adaptive equipment.
• Educate patients and families on techniques to improve independence in daily activities.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of treatment areas and equipment.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team for coordinated care.
• Comply with state licensing rules and facility standards.
