Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a Travel Occupational Therapy Assistant for a 13-week assignment in Burlington, NJ. The role requires 1 year of OTA experience, current BLS and NBCOT-COTA certification, and active state licensure.

You will work under an OT supervisor, providing therapy, documentation, and mobility support with interdisciplinary teams. The position emphasizes safety, patient education, and adherence to facility guidelines, with a tax-free stipend and travel benefits.

Qualifications

• Must have 1 year of experience as an Occupational Therapy Assistant.
• Must hold current BLS and COTA National certification.
• State licensure required.
• OTAs should lift and assist patients safely, demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and possess a solid understanding of anatomy, motor function, and occupational therapy principles.
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver therapeutic activities and interventions as directed by the supervising OT.
• Monitor patient progress and report observations to the OT to support treatment plan adjustments.
• Document patient performance and progress accurately and in a timely manner per facility and state guidelines.
• Assist patients with exercises, mobility training, and use of adaptive equipment.
• Educate patients and families on techniques to improve independence in daily activities.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of treatment areas and equipment.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support coordinated care.
• Comply with state licensing rules and adhere to facility and professional standards.
