Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant for a travel assignment in Lanham, Maryland. The OTA will work under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist to implement treatment plans and help patients improve daily living skills.

The position requires 1 year of OTA experience, current BLS and NBCOT (COTA) certification, and state licensure. 35 hours per week, 8-hour shifts, travel duration of 16 weeks.

Qualifications

• Must have 1 year of experience as an Occupational Therapy Assistant.
• Current BLS and NBCOT (COTA) certification are required.
• State-specific licensure is required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver therapeutic activities and interventions under the supervising OT.
• Monitor patient progress and relay observations to the OT.
• Document patient performance accurately per guidelines.
• Assist patients with exercises, mobility, and adaptive equipment.
• Educate patients and families to improve independence.
• Maintain treatment areas and equipment cleanliness and organization.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to support coordinated care.
• Comply with licensing rules and professional standards.
