Job summary

TotalMed Allied seeks a travel Occupational Therapist Assistant in Forestville, MD to provide therapy under supervision of an OT. This 13-week assignment offers 30 hours per week, days shift, and a travel employment type. Requires 1 year OTA experience, BLS, and NBCOT (COTA) with state licensure.

As an OTA, you will implement treatment plans, assist patients across ages, and collaborate with the care team. Travel roles include lifting, documentation, and ongoing patient education per facility

Qualifications

• Must have 1 year of experience as an Occupational Therapy Assistant.
• Current BLS certification and COTA NBCOT certification required.
• State licensure required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver therapeutic activities and interventions as directed by the supervising OT.
• Monitor patient progress and report observations to the OT to support treatment plan adjustments.
• Document patient performance and progress accurately and in a timely manner per facility and state guidelines.
• Assist patients with exercises, mobility training, and use of adaptive equipment.
• Educate patients and families on techniques to improve independence in daily activities.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of treatment areas and equipment.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support coordinated care.
• Comply with state licensing rules and adhere to facility and professional standards.
