Job summary

Premiere Healthcare Staffing seeks a Travel Med Surg Registered Nurse for a 12-week assignment in Lewiston, Maine. Night shifts are available, with duties spanning from hands-on patient care to supervising and coordinating Med Surg operations.

Requirements include an active RN license and BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications, plus at least one year as a charge nurse in Med Surg. Eligible candidates enjoy weekly pay, a $3/hour differential, and supportive career specialists.

Qualifications

Current and valid state RN License.
BLS (AHA) certification upon hire and maintain current.
ACLS (AHA) certification upon hire and maintain current.
PALS (AHA) certification upon hire and maintain current.
Minimum of one year of charge nurse experience in Med Surg.

Responsibilities

Assists the Director with daily department operations, staffing, and workflow management.
Supervises, directs, and evaluates team members.
Ensures effective use of personnel, equipment, and resources.
Maintains efficient department operations and patient care standards.
Provides direct patient care as needed within scope of practice.
Monitors patient care plans and directs necessary adjustments.
Collaborates with physicians and staff to promote positive patient outcomes.
Supports a safe, high-quality, and patient-centered care environment.
Oversees staff performance and unit operations during assigned shift.
