Job summary

Premiere Healthcare Staffing seeks a Travel Med Surg Registered Nurse for a 12‑week assignment in Lewiston, Maine. The role supports the Med Surg department with night shifts, direct patient care, and departmental operations, under the direction of the nursing leadership.

The candidate must hold an active RN license, BLS, ACLS, and PALS upon hire, with at least one year of charge nurse experience in a Med Surg setting.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license to practice.
• BLS certification required upon hire and maintained.
• ACLS certification required upon hire and maintained.
• PALS certification upon hire and maintained.
• Minimum of 1 year charge nurse experience in Med Surg.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director with daily department operations, staffing and workflow management.
• Supervise, direct and evaluate team members.
• Ensure effective use of personnel, equipment and resources.
• Maintain efficient department operations and patient care standards.
• Provide direct patient care as needed within scope of practice.
• Monitor patient care plans and direct necessary adjustments.
• Collaborate with physicians and staff to promote positive patient outcomes.
• Support a safe, high‑quality, patient‑centered care environment.
• Oversee staff performance and unit operations during assigned shift.
