Job summary

Premiere Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Travel Med Surg Registered Nurse for a nights shift in Lewiston, Maine. The role supports a Med Surg department under the direction of the Director, with responsibilities spanning staffing, patient care, and resource management.

Requirements include an active RN license in the state, BLS/ACLS/PALS upon hire, and at least one year of charge nurse experience in Med Surg. Assignment length is 12 weeks with weekly pay and a $3/hour differential.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• BLS (AHA) required upon hire and maintained.
• ACLS (AHA) required upon hire and maintained.
• PALS (AHA) required upon hire and maintained.
• One year of charge nurse experience in Med Surg is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director with daily department operations, staffing, and workflow management.
• Supervise, direct, and evaluate team members.
• Ensure effective use of personnel, equipment, and resources.
• Maintain efficient department operations and patient care standards.
• Provide direct patient care as needed within scope of practice.
• Monitor patient care plans and direct necessary adjustments.
• Collaborate with physicians and staff to promote positive patient outcomes.
• Support a safe, high-quality, patient-centered care environment.
• Oversee staff performance and unit operations during assigned shift.
