Job summary

Zimmer Biomet, a global medical technology leader, seeks a Field Service Engineering Tech to install, service and support Surgical Devices across assigned regions. You will travel to customer sites, perform installations, PM/CM, and assist in complaint investigations in operating rooms.

This role requires strong problem solving, excellent communication, and the ability to work independently under pressure. Expect up to 80% travel, a valid driver’s license, lifting up to 50 pounds, and overtime

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required with AAS in Biomedical Equipment Technology, Electronics or Laboratory Equipment Technology or equivalent trade school, hospital, military, or other experience preferred.
• 2-4 years of experience in field support, engineering, or other customer-facing function preferably with a medical device company.

Responsibilities

• Travel to sites to perform Zimmer Biomet system installations, troubleshooting, upgrading and field repair.
• Schedule and conduct Preventative Maintenance (PM) and Corrective Maintenance (CM) at customer sites as required.
• Assess technical problems and provide solutions or escalate appropriately in high pressure situations.
• Act as liaison between Zimmer Biomet and end customers on product performance communications.
• Demonstrate critical thinking in assessment of performance and risks of installed medical devices.
• Respond to customer inquiries promptly with professional communication.
• Provide product feedback and improvements to quality and R&D.
• Manage and maintain company equipment and servicing documents.
• Provide on-site support for product demonstrations and educational initiatives to build market awareness.
