Job summary

Clean Harbors is seeking a Traveling Field Services Technician I to perform hazardous waste clean-up, site remediation, equipment decontamination, and handling of hazardous materials in the field across the United States, including Louisville, KY.

The role requires 60-80% travel, participation in a two-week training academy, and on-call emergency response duties. Hourly pay ranges from $20.00 to $25.00 with travel expenses paid and per diem provided.

Qualifications

• Reliable transportation.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to perform physical functions per job requirements.
• Willingness to work on-call and irregular hours.
• Background check, drug test, and medical clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Health and Safety is the top priority by following policies, processes, and always acting in a safe manner.
• Operate light and heavy equipment and use PPE.
• Work in varied temperatures indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Assist in field sampling and calibration of meters.
• Be on-call for emergency response on rotating basis.
• Climb ladders, scaffolding and into and out of trucks, tanks, and containers.
