Job summary

Clean Harbors in Mason, MI and multiple other locations seeks a Traveling Field Services Technician I to perform hazardous waste cleanup, site remediation, and decontamination tasks. The role is travel-heavy (60-80%) across the United States, with on-call emergency response duties as required.

Hourly pay ranges from $20.00 to $25.00, with training academy attendance required for all new hires. Company benefits include health coverage after 30 days, 401(k) with match, and tuition reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Asbestos certifications preferred.
• Reliable transportation required.
• Experience in asbestos abatement or mold remediation is required.
• Strong understanding of asbestos abatement procedures and safety regulations.
• Valid driver's license and ability to perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Follow health and safety policies to keep safety first.
• Engage in strenuous physical labor including lifting and pulling heavy objects.
• Operate light to heavy equipment and hand tools.
• Use PPE correctly and comply with respirator requirements.
• Work in varying temperatures and potentially hazardous environments.
• Assist with field sampling and calibration of meters.
• Climb ladders/scaffolding and work from trucks/tanks.
• Be on-call for emergency response on a rotating schedule.
