Job summary

Clean Harbors is seeking a Field Services Technician II to join our safety-conscious team for hazardous waste cleanup, site remediation, equipment decontamination and handling of hazardous materials. The role requires a valid driver's license, physical stamina, and on-call availability for emergency work, with potential extended travel for up to two weeks.

Fresh hires attend a two-week academy training out of state (expenses paid) and receive comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Reliable transportation
• Ability to perform physical functions per Key Responsibilities
• On-call; may require weekends and holidays and extended shifts up to 12–24 hrs
• Successful completion of a background check, drug test, and physical
• Valid Driver's license per OSHA standards

Responsibilities

• Ensure Health and Safety is the top priority by following policies and staying safe
• Operate light and heavy equipment and use hand tools and power tools
• Wear and use PPE including respirators and protective gear
• Work in varying temperatures and weather conditions
• Handle hazardous and non-hazardous waste safely and conduct waste sampling as needed
• Complete paperwork such as inspections, permits, and worksheets
• Be available for emergency response on a rotating basis and support site remediation tasks
