Job summary

Clean Harbors in Whistler / Mobile AL is seeking a Field Services Technician I to join our safety conscious team. This role performs hazardous waste cleanup, site remediation, equipment decontamination, and handling of hazardous materials in the field.

Position requires attendance at a paid two-week Academy training, potential out-of-state travel, and on-call emergency response on a rotating basis. A company-wide benefits package and growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Must be able to perform extensive physical labor and meet safety requirements.
• On-call duty with possible weekend/holiday work; may require extended shifts (8–24 hours).
• Background check and drug test may be required per position.

Responsibilities

• Follow health and safety policies to protect self and others.
• Perform physical tasks including lifting and pulling heavy objects.
• Operate light and heavy equipment and hand tools with PPE.
• Work in various temperatures and weather conditions, indoors and outdoors.
• Assist in field sampling and calibration of meters.
• Climb ladders/scaffolding and work from trucks, tanks, and other containers.
• Attend compliance and safety meetings and on-call emergency response rotations.
