Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is hiring a GI/Endoscopy Technician with 3+ years of experience for an acute care hospital position in California. This on-call role involves rotating day shifts and after-hours coverage within the Surgical Services/GI-Endo department, with Epic EMR proficiency required.

Responsibilities include bronchoscopy, colonoscopy, EGD and EUS procedures, plus instrument turnover and sterilization. Travel-friendly, with housing and licensure reimbursements offered.

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years GI/Endo experience required.
Epic EMR experience required.
Compact state license must be in hand at time of consideration.
2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within last 3 years.
Travel experience preferred; candidates with 5+ years may not need travel experience.

Responsibilities

Acute care hospital setting in the Surgical Services/GI-Endo department.
Day shift, 5x8 hours, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM.
On-call required including weeknights and 24-hour weekend shifts.
Floating to assist with cases in the OR.
Uses Epic EMR for charting.
Performs bronchoscopy, colonoscopy, EGD, and endoscopic ultrasound procedures.
Room turnover, instrument processing/cleaning, and sterilization/disinfection.
May float between Providence sister facilities.

American Traveler is hiring a GI/Endoscopy Technician with 3+ years of experience for an acute care hospital position with on-call requirements.

Requirements

Minimum 3 years of GI/Endo experience required
BLS certification preferred
SGNA certification preferred
Prior travel experience required unless candidate has 5+ years of experience
Epic EMR experience required
License required if applicable
Compact state license must be in hand at time of consideration
2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required
Experience with urology cases

Responsibilities

Acute care hospital setting in the Surgical Services/GI-Endo department
Day shift, 5x8 hours, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM
On-call required including weeknights (4:30 PM-7:30 AM) and 1-2 24-hour weekend shifts per six-week schedule, averaging 8 weeknights and 2 weekends per schedule
Floating required to assist with cases in the OR
Uses Epic EMR for charting
Equipment includes balloon dilators, ERBE electrocoagulation instruments, bronchoscopes, colonoscopes, EGD scopes, endoscopic ultrasound scopes, enteroscopes, ERCP scopes, and flex sigmoidoscopes
Performs bronchoscopy, colonoscopy, EGD, and endoscopic ultrasound procedures
Responsible for room turnover, instrument processing/cleaning, and sterilization/disinfection
Responsibilities include scope and instrument cleaning/care, high-level disinfection, and supporting procedural teams
May be expected to float between sister facilities within the Providence Health System
Candidates must disclose any prior work history with Providence facilities, including dates and location
Former Providence employees may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period, provided they reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
Candidates must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
RTO requests must be submitted upfront; post-submission requests may not be accommodated
Scrubs provided for OR/Cath Lab staff; RNs wear navy blue scrubs
Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate within a 50-mile radius
