Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking a Pediatric Echo Technologist / Cardiac Sonographer with 3+ years of pediatric lab experience and pediatric echo certification through CCI or ARDMS.

The role requires an active state license (where applicable), BLS, and pediatric registry credentials (RCCS or RDCS-PE). You will work in a children's hospital setting handling inpatient and outpatient pediatric echo studies, including portables, TEEs, and advanced imaging.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of pediatric echo lab experience required.
• Pediatric echo certification through CCI or ARDMS.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient and outpatient pediatric echo services in a children’s hospital setting.
• Patient population from neonates to adult congenital heart patients.
• Perform portable studies, TEEs, bubble studies, imaging with contrast, M-mode, 3-D echo, and treadmill stress echo.
• Assist with TEEs in cath lab and OR.
• Charting completed in Epic.
• 8 patient scans per day; 5x8 hour day shifts; no weekends or on-call.

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a pediatric echo lab required
• BLS certification required
• Pediatric registry required through CCI (RCCS) or ARDMS (RDCS-PE)
• RDCS-Adult, RDCS-Peds, and RCS certifications required
• Teaching hospital, community hospital, and Trauma Level I experience required
• Epic charting experience required within the last year
• Extensive knowledge of congenital heart disease and surgical repair required
• Strong echo skills including PACS and portable studies required
• Must be able to work independently
• Valid state license required at time of consideration, if applicable
• Full professional references required

Responsibilities

• Children's hospital setting providing inpatient and outpatient pediatric echo services
• Patient population ranges from neonates to adult congenital heart patients
• Scan a maximum of 8 patients per day
• Performs portable studies, TEEs, bubble studies, imaging with contrast agents, M-mode, 3-D echo, and treadmill stress echo
• Assists with TEEs in the cath lab and OR when working in the hospital
• Uses GE equipment and PACS system
• Charting completed in Epic
• 5x8 hour day shifts, Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• No weekend requirement
• No on-call requirement
• No floating required outside of scope
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• Local candidates are not accepted; permanent address must be 75+ miles from the facility
• Returning staff must have a gap of at least 1 year since last assignment
• RTO requests are subject to manager discretion
• Black scrub color required
• Block scheduling and shortened contract lengths will not be accommodated
