Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an Echo Technologist / Cardiac Sonographer with 5+ years of experience to perform adult and pediatric echocardiograms across hospital settings. The role features 5x8 hour day shifts (8:00 AM–4:30 PM) with Epic EMR for charting; candidates may float to nearby affiliate hospitals.

Local candidates within 50 miles are considered at local rate. Requires 5+ years' experience, current BLS and ARDMS or CCI, Epic charting experience; RDCS/ RCS preferred; licensure as

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years experience as Echo Tech/Cardiac Sonographer.
• Current BLS and ARDMS or CCI certification required.
• RDCS and CCI RCS certifications preferred.
• Epic charting experience required.
• License required if applicable.
• Proficiency in adult and pediatric 2-D and 3-D echo, color Doppler, M-Mode, portable studies, and routine imaging.
• Experience with TEE, treadmill and pharmacologic stress echo, bubble imaging preferred.
• Pediatric scanning experience with complex anomalies and post-surgical repairs preferred.
• Experience with GE and Philips equipment and PACS.
• Ability to obtain 12-lead ECG/ECG preferred.
• Experience performing procedures on patients in ICU/ED settings.
• Comfortable using isolation precautions and PPE.

Responsibilities

• Perform echocardiography procedures across adult and pediatric populations.
• 5x8 hour day shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
• Epic EMR used for charting.
• Candidates will float within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals.
• Perform adult and pediatric echocardiographic studies including routine, portable, and specialized imaging.
• Work in adult acute care and outpatient settings.
• First-time travelers will be considered.
• Accepts local candidates within 50 mile radius at local rate.
• Former perm staff must be separated for 5 years before becoming eligible as a traveler.
• RTO should be kept to a minimum, with no requests during the first two weeks of the assignment or for full calendar weeks off during the assignment.
• Candidates should expect to work some holidays.

• Minimum of 5 years experience as an Echo Tech / Cardiac Sonographer


• Current BLS and ARDMS or CCI certification required
