Job summary

American Traveler is hiring an Echo Technologist / Cardiac Sonographer with 1+ years of experience in adult echocardiography and Epic charting experience for a teaching hospital.

The role covers inpatient and outpatient labs including TTE/TEE with Definity, day shifts 7:30 AM–4:00 PM, no weekends or on-call, and travel-friendly with housing and licensure support. Local candidates welcome.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in echocardiography required.
• Epic/Excellian charting experience required.
• Certifications: ARDMS RDCS AE, BLS, CCI RCS, RDCS.
• Adult Echo, 2-D Echo, 3-D Echo, Color Doppler, and Routine studies.
• Preferred skills include Bubble Study, M-Mode, Pharmacologic Stress Echo, Portable Studies, RVIT, RVOT, TEE, and Treadmill Stress Echo.
• Preferred experience with Diastology, LV Strain/LV Volume, and Simpson's Rule calculations.
• Experience in Adult Acute Care, Adult Outpatient, and Emergency Department settings.

Responsibilities

• Inpatient and outpatient adult echo lab setting
• Work includes TTE, TEE, SEC, and structural heart involvement
• Uses Definity for echo contrast and Philips equipment
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
• No weekend requirement
• No on-call requirement
• No floating within scope required
• Monthly echo education sessions offering 1 CME per session
• Teaching hospital with Level 3 trauma designation and 317 staffed beds
• Gray scrub color required
• First-time travelers accepted
• Local candidates accepted for this radiology position
• RTO requests should ideally be limited to no more than 5 days
• Returning travelers must have a 3-month gap since their last shift worked as perm staff or per diem
